Goalkeeper Coach
Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Palomino brings extensive experience as both a player and coach, with over 20 years in professional and semi-professional football. As a former goalkeeper, Palomino played for clubs such as Patriotas de Boyacá and Bogotá F.C. in Colombia, as well as Centro Atlético Fénix in Uruguay. His background as a player has shaped his coaching approach, allowing him to understand the demands of the position at a high level.
His coaching career includes roles with Orlando City’s South MLS Next program, where he is working with U15, U14, and U13 goalkeepers, as well as positions at Big Cat Goalkeeping, Goalkeeper Factory, and Cadence Soccer & Futsal Club in Illinois. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing goalkeepers through modern training methodologies, incorporating real-game scenarios to enhance shot-stopping, reaction speed, distribution, positioning, decision-making, leadership, and footwork.
Palomino holds multiple coaching certifications, including United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper Levels 1, 2, and 3, a U.S. Soccer National ‘D’ License, and grassroots coaching credentials. As a member of the International Goalkeeper Coaches Community (IGCC), he remains committed to continuous learning and innovation in goalkeeper development.
